What is Laces Out?

Laces Out (mobile application, application) is developed by independent games developer LFM Studio as a mobile application which uses the Skillz platform to provide online competition. This application is provided by LFM Studio at no cost and is intended for use as is. To use this game you will need to use a Skillz account.

LFM Studio Ltd is a London, UK based indepedent games developer.

This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.

If you choose to use Laces Out, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this policy, then you should cease to use the application and uninstall it to prevent it being used again.

Skillz

Skillz is a third party organisation who provide the match-making element of Laces Out. In order to play you will need a Skillz account. Once you enter the main game, you will be using the Skillz platform, which should be recognised as a seperate entity from Laces Out and LFM Studio.

To register an account with Skillz, you must provide an email address and password, and verify that you are over the age of 18. Skillz will also choose or permit you to choose a username. Please note that your username will be available to the other Skillz users while you participate in tournaments and public forums. Your username, name, password and email address are collectively referred to as your “Account Information”.

Your personal profile will automatically be populated with your selected username, which you are allowed to change. Any information and content that you voluntarily add to your profile, such as your personal image, will be made public by default and will not be subject to this policy. Your username and profile will be publicly searchable, and your personal image will appear in search results in addition to your profile.

As part of your acceptance of this privacy policy, you will read and accept the privacy policy for Skillz (click here), as well as the Skillz Terms of Service (click here). This is especially important if you are to participate in Skillz cash tournaments.

What personal data we (LFM Studio) collect and why we collect it

For a better experience, while using our Service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information. The information that we request will be retained by us and used as described in this privacy policy.

Whilst LFM Studio does not collect any personal data, the application does use third party services that may collect information used to identify you. This data is not used to identify you personally and does not include your name and contact details, but is used to provide a general location for analytical purposes

It is highly recommended that you read the Privacy Policies for these individual third parties, all of which are services provided by Google or Skillz.

Log Data

We want to inform you that whenever you use Laces Out, in a case of an error in the app we collect data and information (through Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics. This does not include your mobile phone number, name or any contact information that can be used to personally identify you.

Cookies

Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. These are sent to your browser from the websites that you visit and are stored on your device’s internal memory.

Laces Out does not use these “cookies” explicitly. However, the application uses third party code and libraries that use “cookies” to collect information and improve their services (See “What personal data we collect and why we collect it”).

Service Providers

We use the third parties listed in “What personal data we collect and why we collect it” for the following reasons:

• To assist us in analysing how our Service is used.
• To help us log and research crash data
• To provide advertising in order to fund Laces Out.

We want to inform users of Laces Out that these third parties have access to the personal information described in “Log Data”. The reason is to perform the tasks assigned to them on our behalf. However, they are obligated not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose.

Security

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

LFM Studio as an entity do not collect or store any personal information. All personal information is handled by the third party services listed in “What personal data we collect and why we collect it” and their individual Privacy Policies with security information should be consulted.

Links to external sites and applications

Laces Out is funded by non intrusive advertising and this may contain links to other sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site or section in the iTunes App store. Note that these external sites are not operated by us. Therefore, we strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services which are either linked from within our application by advert, or which appear as an advert on our application.

All adverts are served by Google AdMob. Information about how these advertisements are determined and chosen can be found in their Privacy Policy, which will apply in all situations regarding advertising found in Laces Out.

These do not include links to other applications developed by LFM Studio, which may at various times be included in the application as a link to the relèvent page on the ITunes App Store.

Children’s Privacy

Laces Out does not provide services that are suitable for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from those under the age of 18 and as LFM Studio does not store any data on its application’s users, we do not keep any information. In the case we discover that a user under 18 has provided us with personal information without the consent from a legal guardian, and that data has subsequently been used by a third party outlined in “What personal data we collect and how we collect it”. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to take the necessary actions.

Skillz Services are not directed towards young children or minors under the age of 18. Skillz is intent on complying with applicable laws and regulations regarding minors, including the United States’ Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act. Specifically, Skillz will not knowingly collect and maintain any personally identifiable information from children under 18.

If you are a parent or guardian who has discovered that your child has submitted his or her personal information, Skillz will make reasonable efforts to delete the information from its database, at your request. To request the deletion of your child’s information, please send an email legal@skillz.com. Be sure to include in your message the username, email address and password that your child submitted.

Updates to this Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page, and we will always post notification to our Twitter social media account.
